2020 Season Recap
The Metropolitan Community College women's cross country team wrapped up competition for the 2020 season at the NJCAA Division II National Championship in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Saturday, November 14th. The Wolves were represented by three runners in the women's race. This was the first season the Wolves were competing in Division II.
The top performance of the women's 5k race was achieved by sophomore Aubrie Heck. Aubrie finished in 10th place in 19:53, earning her All-American status and the highest individual finish in MCC history.
Sophomore Alexis Appleman was close behind with a time of 20:17 and a 22nd place finish, also earning All-American status. Freshman Jessica England rounded out the women's team with a time of 23:59 and a 102nd place finish.
Two of our student-athletes were awarded National Junior College Cross Country Coaches Association Scholar All-American honors: Aubrie Heck and Jessica England.
