Bio
Rob Kaleikau arrived to MCC as the head women's volleyball coach after three years as assistant coach of the Lee's Summit High School program. Rob was a decorated intercollegiate volleyball player at Graceland University and at Loyola Marymount University, receiving two-time All-American distinction, three-time League MVP and National Tournament MVP awards. Coach Kaleikau was honored individually in the Graceland Hall of Fame in 2019, and as a team Hall of Fame member of the 1979 National Championship team.
Since his arrival with MCC volleyball, Coach Kaleikau has led the team to six seasons of 20+ wins, 31 All-Region Honors, three NJCAA All-American athletes, and has finished as high as eighth place in the NJCAA National Tournament. His teams have twice received the Academic All-Amerian team distinction, and have won the NJCAA Region XVI nine times, qualifying for the National Tournament three years. Rob has been awarded the NJCAA Region XVI Coach of the Year nine times during his tenure.
Rob has an undergraduate degree from Graceland, and a master's degree in Urban/Regional Planning from the University of Hawaii. He is a native of the Kansas City Metro area and continues to enjoy living in the area with his family. He has coached and managed developmental club teams, furthering his ability to share his experience and knowledge with many players in the Kansas City area.
