Coach Chris Thompson joined the MCC athletic staff as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach in 2021. He received his BA in Secondary Education and History in 1989 from William Jewell College. Coach Thompson earned his MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Missouri in 2001. Thompson began his coaching career as an assistant at Jefferson City High School in 1990. He was named head coach at Warrensburg High School in 1999 and his boys and girls teams went 321-163-29 in his 21 seasons at the school. He was named Missouri High School Coach of the Year in the spring of 2007. Thompson holds the USC Premier Diploma and has the USSF C license. He also coaches multiple youth teams for the Union KC Soccer Club.
