21-22 NJCAA Region XVI First & Second Team All-Region Awards
This year's NJCAA Region XVI All-Region Awards honor two MCC Wolves Women's Soccer student-athletes. Sophomore from Fort Osage High School, three-year starter and team captain, Elisah Miller (Right), was selected to the NJCAA Region XVI First Team All-Region. This was Elisah's second time being honored by the region coaches. Her tenacity and vision for the final pass allowed her to play successfully as an attacking midfielder, where she led the team in points (12), with two goals and eight assists. Her goal against State Fair Community College helped advance the Wolves past the first round of the regional playoffs. Elisah will complete her AA Degree in the spring of 2022 and is actively being recruited by four-year schools for the fall of 2022.
Charity Carnahan (Left), a sophomore homeschool student, was voted by coaches to the NJCAA Region XVI Second Team All-Region. This is also her second time being selected for the All-Region team, having been voted to the Region XVI First Team All-Region in the spring of 2021. Her skill with the ball and high work rate allowed her to play in multiple midfield positions. For the Wolves, she netted the lone goal in the regional semifinal game against St. Louis Community College. Charity is an excellent example of a model student-athlete. She not only excels on the field, but carries a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She will graduate with an AA Degree at the end of the fall semester and is considering Park University or Northwest Missouri State as potential programs to play at next year.
Congratulations Elisah and Charity for your well-earned recognition and awards!
